The Island Lake Property
Owners Association will hold their spring meeting on Saturday May 26, at 11:00
a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Rose City. The directors will meet at 9:30 a.m.
We had a relatively mild
winter at the lake and a great spring.
I hope this is a prelude to the kind of summer we are going to have.
Plans are going well for the 4th
of July boat parade as well as our third annual Island Lake Arts and Craft
Show. The craft show will be held on Labor Day weekend on the corner of Dyer
and Oak Roads.
The DNR has asked everyone on
Island Lake to PLEASE STOP FEEDING THE
SWANS. By feeding
them, they feel that we are contributing to the problem of the swans
fighting. I realize its fun to
feed the swans, but it is not fun if it is causing them to kill each
other. Let’s stop feeding them
this year and see if things get back to normal.
